Introduction: The Master GLUE IT! course is designed for entrepreneurs and business owners who want to build on their foundational knowledge and practical fluency in the language of business and take their skill to a level of mastery. The primary purpose of this Master Course is to reveal the role of the entrepreneur as investor in their own business and to create the infrastructure, habits, practices and operational procedures to give that role the room and priority it requires. The ultimate goal of the GLUE IT! Master Class is to develop an “investor” perspective for the entrepreneur through which their focus and attention is lifted from the operational to the strategic, a transition which results in activities that increase the substance, predictability, quality and sustainability of the company and develops it into a valuable asset.
The course reviews foundational principles around the GLUE IT! process and advances the quality and depth of the 7 stages. It then goes on to explore concepts of intrinsic value, enterprise valuation methods, operational aspects of capital allocation, benchmarking and using financial fluency to dramatically alter communication both within and outside the company. The course also highlights aspects of operational excellence, such as creating a board of directors or advisory board to ensure accountablity and governance and a lesson on risk and crisis management.
At the end of this course, the entrepreneurial student will have a firm grasp of the higher purpose of financial mastery, will be engaging in more thoughtful, detailed and probing conversations with their businesses and will be taking more decisive action to increase the value of their most important asset and will be recognised for their growing expertise and confidence in addressing the financial challenges of their business.
